1968-01-18 SPMA'Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held
on Jan. 18, 1968, at the Town Hall, Mill St. Wappingers Falls, New
York.
Supervisor Diehl called the meeting to order at 9:10 P.M.

Mr. Diehl introduced Mr. Rappleyea, the new Attorney to the Town, to
the Public.
Northern Wappinger Sewer District #1 Order in full annexed hereto and
made a part hereof of the record.

AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF
THE SUPERVISORS ANNUAL FINANCIAL
REPORT TO THE STATE COMPTROLLER
Proposed by: Mr. Finnan
WHEREAS, Subdivision 10 of Section 29 of the Town Law requires
that the supervisor of each town prepare and file with the Town Clerk
within 30 days after the expiration of each fiscal year, an annual
financial report accounting for all moneys received ,and disbursed by
him, together with the certificate or certificates of the bank or trust
company where Town money's are deposited, showing the amount of such
moneys on deposit with said bank or trust company, and cause a certified
copy of such report to be published in the official newspaper,
WHEREAS, in lieu of preparing the report requird by Subdivision
10 of Section 29 of the Town Law, the Town Board may; determine, by
resolution, that the supervisor shall submit to the town Clerk within
60 days after the close of the fiscal year, a copy of the report to
the State Comptroller required by Section 30 of the General Municipal
Law and the Town Clerk shall cause a summary of such report to be
published within 10 days after receipt thereof in a form approved by
the State Comptroller in the official newspaper—

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED, that in lieu of preparing the report required by
Subdivision 10 of Section 29 of the Town Law, the supervisor shall
submit to`the Town Clerk within 60 days after the close of the fiscal
year, a copy of the report to the State Comptroller required by Section
3pof the. General Minicipal, Law and that the Town Clerk shall cause a
summary of such report to be published within 10 days after receipt
thereof in a form approved by the State Comptroller in the official
newspaper.

The following resolution was offered by Mr. Mills who moved its
adoption:
RESOLVED, that whereas Herman Bernstein, Ck, was retained to
audit the accounts aic reports of the Town Supervisor and the Town
Clerk for the Year 1966, and whereas said Herman Bernstein rendered
his bill in the!sum of $1,000.00 on or about December 21, 1967, and
whereas said bill was to be paid from the funds available in 1967, and
such bill was paid, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the payment of such bill and voucher to Herman
Bernstein in the sum of $1,000.00 is hereby approved and confirmed.

Mr. Diehl asked for a report from the Highway Committee.
Mr. Clausen stated that the Committee had been charged with choosing
a name for the old section of Myers Corners Road if it was found that
this portion had, in fact, been turned over to the Town. Mr. Clausen
moved that the old section of Myers'Corners Road, lying west of the
intersection of All Angels Road and Myers Corners Road South, and
running parallel to the new portion of Myers Corners Road for a
distance of approximately 14 mile, being duly turned over to the Town
of Wappinger by Resolution of the Dutchess County Board -of Supervisors
October 6, 1966 be accepted as a town road, and be. known as Old Myers
Corners Road. Seconded by Mr. Finnan. Motion Unanimously Carried,.
The Clerk was charged with notifying the Superintendent of Highways.
of this action and to install a sign at both ends and also notify the f'
Planning Board and residents living on this stretch of road.
Mr. Clausen moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Mills
and unanimously carried.
