A special meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger was hel in the Town
Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls on Tuesday evening,,,,:.1965.
Present:-Supervisor-Rbchard H. Linge, Councilmen -George Robinson & Louis
Diehl, Justices of the Peace -William J. Bulger and Vincent S. Francese,
Attorney for Town -Harold H. Reilly, Engineer for the Town -Vincent Kelly
Superintendent of Highways -Robert Lawson, Building Inspector-Josep§ E.
Ludewig, Town Clerk -Helen L. Travis.
Also attending were --Fred. Lafko, David Alexander, Malcolm Cornell, James
J. Klein, Kenneth Russ, Chairman of the Wildwood Association and six
members of the Association.
Meeting was opened at 8 P. M. by Supervisor Riachard H. Linge.
Chairman of Wildwood Association read letter outlining their complaints
on matters in Wildwood Forest.
Supervisor Ling then teok these matters up separtely with the Developers
and Builders.
After much discussion about the road situation the following promise was
made.
Mr. Fred Lafko, promised for the Skyview Developement Corporatj.on, that
the following roads, Wildwood Drive through Russ Place, Russ Place, Dana
Place and Brian Bpace, would be completed by July 4, 1545. Supervisor
Linge assured Mr. Lafko that the Town would provide police duty for
two wehks at the completion of the job, to re-route trucks to the
rear entrance. The rest of the roads would be completed by October,
weather permitting.

Supervisor Linge asked a an effort could be taken to keep the roads
in a little better condition. Mr. Lafko stated that as the weather
improved and due to the fact that there would not be as many Chucks
on the roads that they could keep them in better condition.
The ditch was then discussed. Mr. Lafko said this is called a Moat
not a ditch. The original plans call for this as it is needed for
drainage. It will be partially filled up and when completed will
be landscaped. This Moat will be finished before the roads are
finished.
Chairman of the Association stated that the Association was not formed
to make trouble for the builders and developers but to help the people
of the development obtain their needs.
The next problem was the Swamming Pool.
Mr. Lafko advised the people that this was in the orjginalpipb.
The Association stated that they had had an appraiser look over the property
and he had assured them that the value of their property would decrease
between $1000. & 1500. if this pool ,was erected.
Mr. Lafko stated he was trying to locate the original plans showing this
swiming pool.
Mr. pieh1 suggested that we hold up this until we could find the plans
There being no other business -the meeting was closed.

Motionwas made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by Justice of
the Peace Francese that shepeollatvmeeting bepoelled at this time. The
following vote was taken. Supervisor Linge--Aye, Councilman Robinson -
Aye, Councilman Jiiehle--Aye, Justice of the Peacyi=Francese-Aye,
Justice of the Peace Bulger -Aye.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Francese and seconded by Justice
of the Peace Bulger that the supervisor be authorized to purchase one
new voting machine and to rent 3 voting machines at $150.00 per machine,
with the stipulation that if we purchase same within 12 months from the
rental date the rental price can be deducted from the purchase price.
Motion carried
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by Justice
of the Peace Francese that the Supervisor be empowered to sign congracts

for the work on the Town Hall awarding same to the contractile! submitting
the lowest price. Motion carried
The Town Board is to hold a meeting with the Sheriff on April 22, 1965
at8P.M.
Justice of the Peace Francese reported that he hd talked with Sheriff
Quinlan and he has assured him that they would co-operate with us in
every way posilible. If the people would contact them they would come
at any time.
Due to the fact that the Village police are called upon so much for
information about the town/tire it would be to our advantage to
present them with one of the Qutchess County Directories. The Town
Clerk is to contact them and see that they have a directory.

of the Peace Francese that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried
