A Public Hearing was held by the Town Board,Town of Wappinger, in
the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, N. Y. on Thursday
evening, December 10, 1964 at 7:30 P. M.
Present -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Councilmen -Wilmer Ifill and
George Robinson, Justices of the Peace -William J. Bulger and

The hearing was called to order by Supervisor, Richard H. Linge
at 7:30 P. M.
The Town Clerk read the Legal Notice of the meeting and notice
of Publication.
Supervisor Linge asked for those in favor of the following
to speak:
Amend the Zoning Ordinance section 421, item 17 to
read as follows:
riding academies*, stables*, dog kennels* and veterinarians*
only when located on ten(10) or more acres of land.
Attorney Russell Aldrich, representing Dr. Hannigan, spoke stat-
ing his client was very mich in favor of this amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance.
Attorney Raymond Aldrich, representing Mr. & Mrs. Philip W. Jackson,
spoke stating his clients were very much in favor of the amdndment
to the Zoning Ordinance.
Supervisor Linge then asked for anyone opposed to the ordinance to
spekkakt this time. No one appeared at this time to speak
against same.
The following resolution was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger
and seconded by Councilman Robinson
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED, by the Town Board of the Town of
Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York in pursuance of the Author-
ity conferred by Articl 16 of the Town Law of the State of New
York and also in pursuance of Article 9 of the Town Law to the
extent applicalbe as follows:

Section 1, Item 17 of Perm8tted Principal Uses in Residential
District as contained in Section 421 ofcTown of Wappinger Zoning
Ordinance, adopted January 29, 1963, is hereby amended to read
as follows: -
"17 Riding Academies*, stables,* dog kennels,* and
veterinarians,* only wen located on ten (10) or more acres
of land. •
Section 2. This amendment shall become effective imm-
ediately upon adoption, posting and publication as prescribed
by Town Law. This motion was unanimously carried.
The hearing was adjourned at 7:45 P. M.

establishing a Sewer District and Water District in the Town of
Wappinger.
Present: -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Councilmen -George Robinson &
Wilmer Ifill, Justices of the Peace -William Bulger and Vincent
Francese, Town Clerk -Helen L. Travis
The Hearing was called to order by Supervisor -Richard H. Linge
at 8:30 P. M.
The Town Clerk, Helen L. Travis read the Legal Notices of the
meetingfand Notices of Publication.
Attorney, Eugene Nicolato-Presented the maps of Districts and
Age cost of Districts --Water District -$93,000.00. Sewerage
District $123,000.00.
Supervisor Linge asked all those in favor of District to speak
at this time.
Mr. Messier --Asked if this includes money to complete Recreation
area and Attorney Nicolato stated this included $5,000.00 to
complete roads of Kretch Cird Lkand $5,Q00.00 for Recreation
Area.
JOSEPH CORONADO asked about consumption of water
GEORGE LEIFLER Spoke about meters in Fleetwood. He stated same
have meters and some have not. He thought all should have meters.
MRS. BARTON --Spoke on meters. Stated all should have meters. They
were told they would have meters no later than Sept. 1962 and they
do not have them yet.
Robert Kearns --Mr. Gallo stated meters for Kretch Circle were on
order. He also thought apartment Houses should be metered.
MR. WOLNEIWICZ spoke on water district.
Mr. William Durkin -Asked what the Town Boards part would be after
these Districts were formed. The Town Board has no say at all ex-
cept Board would supervise in a problem area.
MR. DICKHAUT Stated property has taxes owed on it. Who owns
property.
GEORGE LEIBLER Asked questions about playgrounds.
JOSEPH CORONADO Spoke in reference to Playgrounds
ARTHUR BISOM If taken on a bond issue, if something happens is the
Town responsible.
If County water District starts would they have to pay both.
Answer -No.
Joe Almena asked about Hydrants.
The Town Board reserved decision on this matter

A Special meeting was held by the Town Board, Town of Wapplimger

for the purpose of appointing atTown Attorney.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded
by Councilman George Robinson, that Harold Reilly, be appointed
Town Attorney fo fill the unexpired term of Judson C, Williams,
to take effect December 10, 14)84 at a salary of $3500.00 per
year.
Motion was made by Councilman Robinson and seconded by Justice
of thePeace Bulger that the meeting adjourn.
