A public Hearing was held by the Town Board, Town of Wappinger
on Thursday evening, July 16th, 1964, in the Town Hall, Mill
Street. On the Oakwood Sewerage System.
Present: Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Councilmen -George Robin-
son and Wilmer Ifill, Justices of the Peace -William Bulger and
Vincent Francese, Building Inspector -Joseph Ludewig, Town Clerk
Helen L. Travis.
Supervisor Linge opened the hearing at 7:30 P. M.
Supervisor Linge read the pubication of this meeting.
Proof of Publication was submitted and proof of posting
was submitted.
Attorney Russell Aldrich representing the people of the
development of Section 1 & 2, stated that the people felt
they needed a public Sewer System.
Attorney -Aldrich then called Mr. Kelly to the ftont. Att.
Aldrich asked Mr. Kelly if he was the engineer for this
Sewer District. Mr. Kelly statedhhe was a lineneed Engineer
in the employ of Milton Chazen, who was hired for the job by
Mr. Ritter and that he did the work on it. He stated he did
the work about two years ago.
Mr. Aldrich asked Mr. Kelly if he had made any inspection of
this installation. Mr. Kelly stated that their job was to lay
out the district and had nothing whatever to do with the in-
stallation of same. He was asked what was the complete capacity
of same. He skabeld the capacity should be 75,000 gallons per
day which would take care of 200 to 220 house. He said they
were told there would only be 196 houses in the developement.
He was asked if all lots could be utilized for Residential
dwellings and he answered #es. He stated the sub -division
plan was proposed by Milton Chazen. He skated the pipe is
asbestos pipe sealed with robber gasket with cement. Were
filtration tests made --Yes. Where were these tests made.
At manholes throughout the system at 12 or 14 spots, in April
1964.
Many other questions were asked by Mr. Aldrich and answered by
Mr. Kelly.
Report was then presented by Mr. Adler, for Barger & Russ. They
were representing the Town. Mr. Adier presented a full report
of the Sewerage District as far as he could go. But he stated
there NW was not official 0. K. from the Hutchess County
Board of Health as to whether the system -wt completed to their
specifications.
Attorney Gellert spoke stating he was representing Mr. & Mrs.
Von Berg, he asked what was going to be done with the surface
water from the System.
They were told that this was led into a natural stream which
flogs under Myers Corners Road.
Atty. Gellert then stated that a flowed under Myers Corners
Road and then onto his clients property and stayed there. he
stated that the stream was not large enough to handle this
amount of water. He wanted to know if this water would be
taken care of. The answer was that their had been no provis-
ions made for this water, that the water should Low into
the creek.
Harold Niessen asked if they were pumping water up into this
stream.
Attorney Russel( stated that due to the fact that they did not
have a map with the 0. K. from the Health Department and being
that the figures were so far apart he, moved that the hearing
being adjourned until the next regular board meeting on
August 6th, 1964.
The Hearing closed at 8:45 P. M.

An informal Hearing was held on the Wheeler Hill Re -zoning, on
Thursday, July 16, 1964 in the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers
Falls, N. Y.

George Robinson,Justices of the Peace -Vincent Francese & Wulliam
Bulger, Building Inspector -Joseph Ludewig, Town Clerk Helen L.
Travis.
Supervisor Linge opened the Hearing at 9 P. M.
Attorney Russell Asked the Board to set a date for a Public
Hearing on this matter.
Mr. Worona, representing Lilyan Berger stated theylhad/Jo right
to set a date for a public hearing as this was not a special
or regular meeting.
Supervisor Linge stated he could call a special meeting at this
time because all of the Board members were in atteddance.
Mr. Hanna spoke asking for a Public Hearing on same.
Councilman Ifill and Justice of the Peace Bulger propsed that
a Special meeting of the Town Board be held tonight.
Supervisor Linge call a Special Meeting of the Town Board in

Supervisor Linge stated that a date should be considered for
holding a Public Hearing on the matter of the Wheeler Hill
re -zoning, on

by the Area -Residentsfor the re -zoning of the Wheeler Hill
District. on Dept. 13, 1964 at 8 P. M.
Motion carried
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by
Councilman Ifill that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
