1964-03-19 SPMA special meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger was held
on Thursday evening, March 19th, 1964 at the Town Hall, Mill
Street, Wappingers Falls, N. Y.
The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P. M. by Supervisor -Richard
H. Linge.
Present:-Supetvisor-Richard H. Linge-Councilman-George Robinson -
Justices of the Peace -William Bulger and Vincent Francese-Building
Inspector -Joseph Ludewig, Town Attorney -Judson Williams and Town
Clerk -Helen L. Travis.
Bills for March 19, 1964 were presented.
Motion made by Councilman Robinson and seconded by Justice of Peace
Bulger that the -aloe-woe illsbe paid. Motion carried

WARRANT SHEET # $36,242.88
Motion was made by Councilman Robinson and seconded by Justice of
the Peace Bulger that Town Clerk sign papers placing a light
in front of the Guarino property on the Middlebush Road in the
Hughsonville Lighting District at a cost of $39.00 Motion carried

A letter was read from Attorney Williars pertaining to closing on
Memorial Day. This letter was held in abeyance until a later date
until aft4r it has been looked into futhhEr.
A letter was read from the City of New York, Department of Supply,
Gas and Electricity, stating permission could not be given to
take water from any upstate system .
A letter was read from Jacob K. Javits, of the United States Senate,
in reference to Airport.

160 Attorney Williams gave a report on the Ambulance matter. He stated
he had contacted Effie State on this matter, but would rather hold
the matter in abeyance until we had it in writing from the State.
A memo was read from Attorney Williams on the purchase of the
Bisnoff property.
Mr. Van De WinckC chairman of the Planning Board reported that
all members were in favor of purchasing the Bisnoff property. They
reported the location was very suitable.

Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by
Councilman Robinson that Attorney Williams prepare a contract
and send same to Mr. Bisnoff. Motion carried
A letter addressed to the Recreation Committee, from Barger & Russ
was read.
Mrs. Arkell asked if this money could be taken out of the General
Fund instead of all out of the Recreation Commission fund. Attorney
Williams said he would look ,•into this matter.
Motion was made by Councilman Robinson and seconded by Justice of
the Peace Bulger that the Recreation Committee go ahead with the
Boundary stirvey and map & Monumentation, but that the Topograph-
ical Survey be held up until Attorney Williams checks into this.
Motion carried
At torney Williams reported on the Christmas Lighting Fund, stating
item
that we have no hnzmd in the ]budget to cover this at this time.
The Board stated they would take this under advisement and look
into it further.
Mr. Bisom asked why his letter to the Zoning Board of Appeals
was not read and the Board stated that they could not read same
because it was addressed to the Zoning Board and not to the Town
Board.
Herman Osten asked what action had been taken about the purchase
of the Masonic Building. Mr. Linge stated this matter was being
considered and that it was still a possibility.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by
Justice of the Peace Francese that the meeting adjourn.
