1956-06-07At a Bpd Meeting of the. Ton Board of the Town of Wappinger, held in the Turn off icee, Bill 13treet, wappirigers Falls, Now York, on the 7th day of done, 1956, The following resolution was offered by by Judge Ke1ty WIURAS., the Town Superintendent of Bighways has, at this meeting, recommended the purchase of certain highway machinery, vizi a new four yard dump truck meeting the minimum specifica- tions set forth in his recommendation which is attached hereto and hereby made a part of this resolution, and WSAS the Town Board, pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law, has considered such recommendation, and the pur- chase of such highway machinery is deemed advisable and neces- sary for the proper maintenance of the town highways of the Torn of Wappinger, and 1XUMAS the Town Board desir to authorize the Superin- tondent to enter into a contract for the purchase of such machinery and to further authorise said Superintendent to trade in thereon the two Rack trucks described in his recommendation, now therefore be it RZSOLVZD that the Town of Wappinger advertise for sealed bids to the end that a contract for the purchase of such mach- inery may be awarded pursuant to law, and be it further BB80LRM that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed to advertise for such bids by causing a notice to be published in the official newspaper of the Town, such notice and the publication thereof to be in compliance with Section 103 of the general Municipal Law. Soconded by Councilmen Yawkill. Upon being Put to a vote, the foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted.
