the Town Hall, on Thursday evening, December 29th, 1960
Present;- Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Justice of the Peace -Joseph F. Kelly,
Cibuncilman-Malcolm Hait, Superintendent of Highways -Charles Mewkill, Sr.,
Town Engix Attorney -dames J. Lyons and Town Clerk -Helen L. Travis.
The meeting -was opened by Richard H. Linge, Supervisor at 8 P. M.
The minutes of the last meeting were read. A motion was made by Judge Kelly
and seconded by Councilman Hait that they be accepted. Motion carried

1960, duly recommend the purchase of certain machinery pursuant to the prov-

Now, Therefore, Be it resolved that pursuant to Section 142 of the.Highway-Law
the Town Superintendent of Highwas is hereby authorized to -purchase, in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Article 5-A of the General Municipal --Law, -lith
the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways, the following;
One 1961 Etnyr Model MSU Utility Hand Spraying Unit of 250 gallons
capacity per the attached specifications, which --are a full compliance
of your Town's detailed specifications with the addition of Clutch
iOperation. We have this unit in stock and delivery of same can be
made upon .the installation of the Clutch.

The following resolution was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman
Hait and unamiuosly carried:
WHEREAS Because of certain Acts of the I,egistlature effective the first
of the year, the Town will not be able to use the Wappingers & Southern
Dutchess News for publication of legal notices in the future. The
Town Board would like to take this opportunity to thank the News for
its excellent coverage of local events, and
sincerely hopes that this policy of fAIT--_ic se_r:icy: will be

cleaj?ite the fact that the Legilature has seen fit to curtail the contribution
which this newppaper will be able to make to our local life.
Resolved that a copy of the foregoing be spread upon the minutes of this
meeting.
Town Clerk, Helen L.,Travis gave a yearly report as follows: showing a
gain over the year 1959 of $32367.10. in the General Fund.

A resolution was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman Hait that
the Town Board have a preliminary survey made to determine the costs of prior
service cr$dit for Town Officials and employees under the state retirement
system. Motion carried.
Supervisor Linge reported that Mr. George Carr will make the annual audit
for the 1960 fiscal year. The audit to be completed in 90 days after the
f irtt of the yea1r.
Attorney Lyons reported that the Junk Yard Ordinance has been published
in the Wappingers-& Southern Dutchess News on December 29th and would be-
come effective on January 9th, 1961. A motion was made by Judge Kelly
and seconded by Councilman Hait that the Town Clerk have applications
and License Blanks made for Junk Yard Ordinance. Motion carried

The following resolution was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman
Hait and unamiumously carried.
RESOLVED: that $400.00 be transferred from the Budgetary appropriation for
gkaqt Park & Playgrounds and be allocated as follows: $400.00 be added to
Assessors, Office & other expenses.
A motion was made by Councilman Hait and seconded by Judge Kelly that
the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried.
