1961-06-08The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger
was held in the Town Hall, on Thursday evening, June 8, 1961
Present: -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Justices of the Peace -
Joseph F. Kelly & Edward B. Beatty,--Cduncilman-Malcolm I.
Hait and Emory J. Hager, Town Attorney --James J. Lyons, Sup-
erintendent of Highways -Charles E. Mewkill, Sr., Building
Inspector -James E. Vredenburgh, Town Clerk, Helen L. Travis.
The meeting wqs opened at 8 P. M. by Supervisor, Richard
H. Linge.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and a m otion was made
by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman Hait that the minutes
be accepted as read. Motion carried.
The bills for the month of May were read. A motion was made by
Councilman Hait and seconded by Councilman Hager that the bills
be paid. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Councilman Hait and seconded by Councilman Hager
that the bids be laid over until the next meeting, so that they
can be gone into thoroughly by the Superintendent of Highways and
Town Engineer and then be given out at the next meeting.
Motion carried.
atter was received from Robert J. Blinn, Chairman of the Board
Supervisors, stating that the Dutchess County Police Officers
Association had purchased 20 12' steel playground slides and one
was to be given to the Town of Wappinger. Superintendent of
Highways, will pick same up when notified.
4 letter was received from the residents. of Dugan Lane, asking
about fixing Roads. The Town Clerk is to write to the residents
stating that this isnot a Town Road and cannot be taken care of
by the Town.
Mr. Kenneth Thornton then asked the Town Board to maimpt adopt the
new sub -Division regulations.
Motion was made by Justice of the
Peace, Beatty and seconded by Councilman Hait that these regulations
be addopted. Motion carried.

Otto Bechtold appeared before the Board asking if the residents
of Petters Road might block off about 2001 of the Road for
a Block Dance.
Motion was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman Hager
that they be allowed to block off the road for the dance but they
must contact the Sheriffs office for police protection.
Motion carried.
Anthony Garzione, Pleasant Lane appeared before the Board and
presented a petition asking that something be done with Please
Lane.
Superintendent of Highways, stated that he would again
go into the matter with Town Engineer Maneri and see what could
be done.
Mr•. Kenneth Mc Ghee appeared before the Board asking what was
needed for the acceptance of new road in his developement.
Board stated that a Deed and a performace Bond for the com-
p&tion of the Road must be presented.
Mr. Kimbark appeared before the Board pertaining to his
road.
Mr. De Lucia appeared before the Board asking about new road
for his developement. Board stated this would have to go to
the Planning Board first.
Town Attorney -James J. Lyons, then stated that the option on
the Becker property had been renewed for two months.
Motion was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman Hait
that a Public Hearing be held on the Recration Program on June
19th, 1961 in the Town Hall, Maill Street, Wappingers Falls,
N. Y. at 8 P. M. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Councilman Hait and seconded by Councilman
Hager that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
Town Clerk
A motion was made by Councilman Hait and seconded by
Councilman Hager that Brother Road, Dose Road and
Montfort Woods Lane be accepted as Town Roads and the
Bond of the Gold Brothers, guaranteeing completion of
same be released. Motion carried
