Working Families Party (WFF) was founded in 199$ as snot-for-profit political p concerned
with fighting for good jabs, good schools and good government for all New Yorkers, To advance
these goals, WFP engages in research, lobbying and public education an key social and economic
issues. We represent a membership base of over 24,404 voters statewide,
As part of our public education campaign, WFP conducts afull-time canvass throughout the state.
Our canvass disseminates fact sheets, conducts our membership drive, petitions, generates letters to
elected officials and raises funds. We have found that the time between 4 - 9 p.m. Monday through
Friday to be the most productive time to reach people at home. Each year we believe our members
look forward to hearing from us and hearing about the important issues on which we are working.
We will be canvassing in your area this evening. Since we are a registered political party and
community support organization, the Supreme Court has ruled in 6Vate~itowep v. Stratton that
registration with local officials is not mandatory. As a good faith effort, however, we will fax a list of
names of all people who will be doing our canvassing each clay that we canvass in your municipality,
1£ you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (718) 222-3796.
Here is a list of WFP canvassers who will be canvassing in your area from 4 - 9pm This evening:
