The Secretary was requested to send a letter to the Town Board requesting
additional time for the selection of a new member to replace Mr. James
Porter on the Recreation Commission.
SENIOR CITIZENS
Mrs. Jean Beahan reported that she had visited the Senior Citizen Clubs and
found them all to be interested in a trip. Mrs. Beahan said that it really
did not matter where the trip was to,as long as they would be able to eat.
Mrs. Beahan also said they liked the idea of having a dance.
\.JINTER PROGRAM
lJrs. Laura lick reported that the Girls Basketball program would have to be
dropped as there were no participants. Mrs. lick felt that the program was
doing poorly because its time conflicted with the Girls Gymnastics program.
Mrs. lick suggested that next year the program be held at a different time
than the Gymnastics program. Mrs. lick also reported that all the other
programs were doing well. An extra hour had been given to the Boys Basketball
program and the time of the program Was split into two different age grpups
and the Girls Gymnastics had also been divided into two age groups due to
the large turnout. Mrs. Zick also said that the Ski Discount tickets for
Dutchess and Fahnestock Ski Areas were doing well. Mrs. Zick said that so
far about 20 people had signed up for the roller skating party. Mr~.Ennesser
suggested having the instructors for the Winter Programs announce the
skating party before each program. Mrs. Beahan suggested putting an announce-
ment in the schools. Mrs. lick said she would try doing both and hopefully
enough people would sign up for the skating party.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
