RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES

The regUlar meeting of the Recreation Commission of the Town of Wappinger
was held on January 10, 1980, at Town Hall, Mill Street, village of
:,,: '-Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County" New York.
Mr. Maurer opened the meeting at 7:45 P.M.

Hugh J. Maurer, Chairman, Mary Schmalz and Joseph Ennesser

Councilman Frank Versace was present and wished to speak to the members
on some items he wished to have researched and reported to him in
writing on Recreation Commission letterhead. Mr. Maurer asked that he
wait a few minutes to see if other members would present themselves
at the meeting. This would give the Commission to do their other
business.
The members present audited bills; Mrs. Schmalz presented the bid",specs
for Football Equipment to be advertized and Mr. Ennesser had his baseball
list ready to go to bid.

asked for the following information:
1 Location of Recreation Property being used
. 2 Location of Recreation Property not being used
3 Names of people \vorking for Recreation in 1979 and \vhere they 'I.-lorked
4 Firms Recreation dealt with in 1979 and the money spent with edch
5 status of Sch1athaus property
6 Fall Soccer Report
7 Klein-Alexander property--how many acres are being deeded to
Recreation and what do they intend doing with it
8 Ball Field Requests--how is this handled
He asked that the Commission compile this information for him and have
it typed; he did not want it bit by bit, he wanted a complete report.
Mr. Maurer informed him it would take a month or more for this to be

completed and Mr. Versace replied that he was in no hurry.
The Commission had received a letter from the Town Board asking for
a report on the status of the Soccer Program and they had requested
that it be reaQ.y for the January Town Board meeting (Jan. 14). 11r.
Maurer .asked Mrs. Schmalz if this report was ready; she replied that
it was not. He then asked that it be presented at the next Recreation
meeting so that they could discuss it and then forward it to the Town
Board.

There was no other business to take up.
