TOWN OF WAPPINGER - RECREATION COMMISSION
OCTOBER 25, 1984
NEXT MEETING NOVEMBER 15. 1984
The regular meeting of the Town of Wappinger Recreation Commission
was held October 25, 1984 at Town Hall, Mill Street, Village of Wappingers Falls
County of Dutchess, New York.
Mr. Maurer called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M. with the following
. persons present: Hugh J. Maurer, Chairman, Herb Stoller, Mary Schmalz and Bill
Wood.
The minutes of the August 16, 1984 meeting were approved on a motion
by Bill Wood seconded by Mary Schmalz.
Time was spent reviewing the 1984 budget to verify what items were
still outstanding. A meeting will be held November 15th to review the budget.
The secretary will prepare an updated recap.
Mr. Maurer mentioned he had gotten two quotes for repairing the roof
at the Martz Field House. Corish Enterprises gave a price of $1,193.40 and Knapp
& Sons $1,285.20. After a discussion it was unanimously decided to contact Corish
and have them do the work as soon as possible.
Mrs. Schmalz asked to be notified when the doors are replaced at Robinson
Lane so the burglar alarm can be rewired.
KEENAN ACRES - PYE LANE SUBDIVISION
After reviewing the map of the above subdivision, the Commission voted
unanimously to take money in lieu of land.
DIRECTORS REPORT
The secretary reported the following for Mr. Blose:
1. The exercise and ae rooics classes are going well.
2. Mens basketball will start Wednesday, October 31st at the Jr. High.
3. Adult volleyball will start Monday, November 5th at the Jr. High.
4. The Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will be held December 2nd. Mr.
Blose has contacted the music teacher from Evans School to provide
some music.
at 9:45.
On a motion by Mr. Wood seconded by Mrs. Schmalz, the meeting was adjourned
