A Santa Suit will be ordered from Rent-All Center along with urns for
the hot chocolate, cider and coffee. It was suggested that we rent 90 cup urns
this year.
A discussion was held regarding the Christmas Tree over by the flag pole.
Since the tree is in such bad shape, it was suggested that lights be put on the
flag pole. A motion was made and approved to place one tree on the stage.
Mr. Blose will look into getting entertainment. The secretary will
contact someone from the New Hackensack Firehouse to see if they could deliver
Santa on a Fire Truck.

Mr. Mastroianni reported that he, Mrs. Schmalz and Mr. Presti went to
Freedom Park to view their facilities and reported it was a super job but they
felt it was too elaborate for us. It was mentioned that the bandstand was

to the secretary for the file.
Mr. Presti mentioned he was still trying to get in touch with Mr.
Fiore from BOCES.

SWIM STUDY
Mr. Stoller mentioned that he had recently received several letters
from the Town Board on the swim study. Several suggestions were made to
contact the following for information: area pool contractors, people who
have advertised in the Recreation Magazines and possibly Hayward and Paken.
It was also suggested that Mr. Stoller contact Ed Kennedy Coach at Wappingers
Schools since he has done a lot of research on swim facilities.
Mr. Wood mentioned that he was at Sch1athaus Park and noticed that the
wire boxes at the stage are all pulled out. He will go down on Saturday to fix
them. He also reported that the fence at Martz Field has been cut.
SPOOK HILL
Mr. Maurer mentioned that we are being sued along with Klein and
the Town of Wappinger with regard to the path that was bulldozed at the above
property. Mr. Maurer has met several times with the people.
We are presently waiting for Baisley to take down the tree that is
in the path and the area to be filled so a fence can be put on both sides of
the path.
CORRESPONDANCE
The following letter was received from Veronica Brown regarding the
Horse Show and it was deceided to invite her to our January meeting.
September 23, 1985
Dear Mr. Maurer:
I am writing this letter to request that the Town of Wappingers consider having
their annual horse show once again. I feel that there is sufficient interest in
this area and with proper and thorough advertising, the show will be a success.
Since we are fortunate enough to have facilities in the town, it seems a shame
not to put them to use.
I would also like to volunteer to assist in any way possible which will help
promote the show.
Please consider this at your next meeting, so that we can possibly contact the
Cooperative Extension and have our horse show placed on next years calendar.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Very truly yours,
Veronica Brown
