Mr. Holt mentioned that there has been a lot of progress
made at the barn with the capable help of John Vorndran and
the maintenance crew. They have cleaned up the barn and
paneled the walls and ceiling in the little room on the
right. The cement work has been checked and repaired and the
back windows have been bricked up. The roof has also been
l-epail-ed.
Looking ahead, new steel doors have been ordered from
Dutchess Overhead Doors using funds from the 1987 budget.

Mr. Vorndran and Mr. Smith have restored the lean to in
the rear of the barn to make workable space. In the Spring
we hope to blacktop it for tractor storage. We are also
planning to have the barn painted in the Spring.
We discussed the possibility of eventually having the
new building that was planned for Schlathaus to be built at
tt"le bc.in-'I si te.
Mr. Holt mentioned that he hoped to meet with Mr. Klein
regarding the Nicole Farms Subdivision and we hope to ask for
services We are hoping that he would do some of the work on

Mr. Reimer reported the following:
1. The winter programs are well under way with
Jazzercise on Wednesday nights, Exercise and Volleyball on
Monday and Thursday nights, Mens and Womens Volleyball on
Tuesday nights and Mens Open Basketball on Wednesday nights.
2. He has had several problems setting up the
gymnastics program which was previously held at the Wappinger
Jr. High. He spoke with Jack Biasotti at the Jr. High and
they won't let us use their equipment and from what Mr.
Reimer gathers it stems from an incident which happened over
10 years ago. Myers Corners School was then contacted and
approval was received to use their facilities. The program
this year will be run by Art Goldner who has helped Brenda
Peura run the program from the past few years. Brenda has
agreed to do a 2 or 3 week daily summer gymnastics program.
3. Skating at Schlathaus has been good so far. Notice
will be put in Mr. Reimer's column in the Southern Dutchess
News.
4. Shirts have been ordered for the Summer Program.
5. Amy Slacin has reworked the Job Applications Form
and the Permission Forms. Copies were handed out for the
Commission Members to review.

The following committee has been put in place to review
applications received for PASNY monies:
1. Irene Paino, Chairman
2. David Reis, Co-Chairman
3. Ralph Holt,Chairman of Recreation Commission
4. Harry Straley, from Little League
5. Rosemary Summers, from Sloper
6. Peter Kennedy, from soccer
7. Ramesh Naik, from the Boy Scouts
The amount of $324,000 will be distributed and a cut off
date of February 5th has been set for receipt of the
applications. All applications must include back up
information, cost estimates and schedules. If it involves
construction it must be accompanied by cost and support in-
formation.
John Hover has been asked to work as a consultant to
write up a presentation for the Robinson Lane Building/
Shelter we will apply for.
It is thought that because the lines go through the
Chelsea area that Castle Point might be a good place for a
proposal. After a discussion it was decided that Mr.Stoller
will write up a proposal for a soccer complex at the site.
The third item we will go in with will be for the
storage/rest room building at Quiet Acres. Mrs. Korz will
work on this proposal.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 on a motion by Mr.
Stoller seconded by Mrs. Drennan.
