Gemini Pools for repairs to the pool as follows:

He estimated that he would need 2 gallons of paint at $36.00 a gallon. #4 would
be done for nothing.
Mr. Maurer questioned why we were doing the work and was told that

Our biggest problem now is to get the pool re-filled after
all this work is done. The secretary will call for quotes.
CORRESPONDENCE
A corrected letter was received from Heritage Task approving
a grant of up to $500. for picnic tables and charcoal braziers for Castle pOint
as described in our application.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Mr. Reimer mentioned that if we do go with a Senior Citizen
swim that Mr. Jones has a video with aqua aerobics which might be useful. Once
the pool is open the only expense for this program would be the staff of 1 or
2 lifeguards. It was suggested that Mr. Mastroianni and Mrs. Roe check with the
Senior Citizen Centers to see if there would be any interest.
The Dutchess County Youth Bureau sent a memo on May lOth to
Supervisor Paino that they were accepting applications for 1989 N.Y. State
Division for Youth grants. They had a total of $20,000. aid available for youth
development and delinquency prevention programs. Eligible programs included
summer programs. Mr. Reimer put in an application for help with our swim program
since we have had all the extra costs this year with getting the pool ready. To
date we have not heard from them.
Mr. Herman Osten has requested that the Town take over the use
of the newly refinished tennis courts at the Wappinger Jr. High. Prior to this
the School lawyer and the Attorney to the Town must draw up a contract for the
approval of the Town Board.
Tuesday, June 20th is the meeting with the summer staff. At
this meeting a short first aide course will be given by Sloper Willen, payroll
papers signed and staff shirts given out. Mr. Reimer read a rough draft of the
job responsibilities. All agreed with this draft so these responsibilities will
be typed up and given out to each summer employee at this meeting.
It was questioned about a phone at Deer Hill and Quiet Acres
for emergency purposes. It was suggested to call about prices for both. There
might be a possibility that there might be a phone at Deer Hill we could use.
Mr. Reimer mentioned that he prepared a half page ad for the
paper similiar to the one in last year. It will also include the concert schedule.

Mrs. Drennan mentioned that the softball teams were using
Castle pOint and were happy with the field although the road was so bad that
they were unable to drive in because of the flooding. Mr. VOrndran will check
to see if something could be done.
SENIOR CITIZEN
Mr. Mastroianni mentioned that the July 11th trip to West POint
had a good response and all seats are reserved.
He questioned ,the .progress of the boccie court and horseshoe
pit at the Town Hall. Mr. Mastroianni mentioned he would try and get the boccie
plans and Mr. Rider will try and get the information on the horseshoe pit. Mr.
Holt will write a letter to the Town Board requesting permission to build this on
the East end of the building.
SOCCER
Mr. Rider mentioned that the soccer games are almost over
with Sunday the last day. He mentioned that we need to fill in spots and do
some seeding. Also that we need a little top soil by the swing sets to level
it off. They are planning to have soccer clinics on August 12th and 26th.
TENNIS
A quote was received from N. Y. Tennis of $500. per post to
replace the court posts. Mr. Reimer got a price of $250. a pair from Anaconda
Kaye. Mr. Vorndran will try and get an estimate from someone to do the labor.
LITTLE LEAGUE
All the fields are a mess because of all the rain we have had and
Little League is almost 70 games behind.
Mr. Wood mentioned that if the

CHAIRMAN~S REPORT
We haven't heard anything from the Vietnam Vets regarding their
proposed work plans at Castle Point.
Mr. Holt met with B. & D. at Castle Point to discuss possible
work to be done to upgrade this area. We should be getting an estimate to put
dirt on the landfill area and to change the road. He asked the members to look
over the area and bring in their suggestions for the upgrading of the Park.
Lawrence Farms is putting up a bond for Phase 1 of the
Subdivision. Stoneridge Subdivision we are taking money.
again this year.
Mr. Holt asked Mrs. Korz if she would chair the Halloween Party
Little League requested permission to build a new field on R-2
starting the field where the present second base is located. This is because the
field is continually wet. Mrs. Drennan was concerned about loosing valuable
parking and mentioned that parking is now a problem there. She was told that
they would make a parking area behing R-2 instead. Mr. Wood made a motion that we
give them permission to go ahead with this proposal seconded by Mr. Mastroianni
with everyone in favor except Mrs. Drennan who was opposed.
The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Mr. Maurer seconded
by Mr. Wood at 9:45 p.m.
