SENIOR CITIZENS
Mr. Mastroianni mentioned that the next Senior trip is planned
for December 7th to New Hamption, New Jersey Playhouse.
Mr. Holt mentioned that he had attended the Senior OPen House
and felt 2t went well.
SOCCER
Mr. Rider mentioned that soccer season is almost over and that the
porta john can be removed after Sunday.
The request to put the truck body at Rockingham is on the Planning
Board Agenda again. Mr. Rider questioned about getting rest rooms at Rockingham
and it was decided we couldn't do that until we settle the soccer/baseball
problem. He also stated that for the 90-91 season they would need additional
fields. He felt they could make 1 small field there but would need another
large field. Mr. Wood suggested 1 large field and 1 small field at Quiet Acres.
We would have to roll it but could make it playable and hopefully we won't have
the rain we did last year.
SOFTBALL
Mr. Rider asked about putting fill in the road at Castle Point.
Mr. Holt mentioned that Mr. Croshier said we..could use all the sweep:Lngs. Mr.
Reimer, Mr. Rider, Mr. Vorndran and Mr. Holt will meet at Castle Point to lay
out the lower field.
ROBINSON LANE
Mr. Wood mentioned that the painting hasn't been finished at the
above Park. They haven't done the Girls Field and Senior League Field. He
also mentioned that there are 9 tables out there and suggested that they be
brought back to the barn and stored there. The fences are up on the new field
but the dug out isn't in. Mr. Mensching said that he hopes that they are in
by opening day. The new R-2 is in and it was mentioned that we would pay for
the footings and cement if they get the block and the labor. Mr. Wood
asked Mr. Vorndran if he could change th~ number from the old backstop to the
new one. Mr. Mensching said that they hoped to make an instructional field
where the old backstop is.

Councilmembers and Councilmembers elect inviting them to the Tree Ceremony

this ~ear. He will check on this.
CHELSEA PLAYGROUND
A letter was received from Chelsea Fire District telling us that
we will no longer be able to use their facilities for a playground. Mr. Holt
suggested to Mr. Vorndran that we get all of our equipment out of the building
and off the premises. We should also have our phone line disconnected.
We feel that we will have some problems with the residents but we feel we will
now have to go forward with the Castle Point Area.
PLANNING BOARD
Mr. Holt and Mr. Wood attended the Planning Board Meeting on Monday
where a discussion was held regarding Frank Buyokowski's commercial subdivision.
At that meeting Mr. Hawksley, Planning Board Chairman mentioned that in the past
we had not taken money or land for commercial subdivisions but that Attorney to
the Town Thomas Wood said that it was legal to do so. After a lengthy discussion
it was decided to put on hold for 2yeaJ:!s the 20 acres in question for soccer fields.
In that time he cannot sell it and hopefully ean work with the Town Board and
Planning Board to turn it over to the Town. Mr. Holt asked if in good wilL.he
could loan the use of the land to us and Mr. Buyokowski said he would get back
to him about that.
