Re: Fee Proposal for Engineering Services for Town of Wappinger
Little League Field at Robinson Lane Recreation Com lex
Dear Supervisor Guzzler and Members of the Board:
Clark Patterson Lee is proposing a change in scope for re ' ' es proposed for the Wappinger
Challenger Field. The original scope of work anticipated a modular restroom building to be placed at the
field and connected to water and electric with a holding tank. Based on research we have conducted and
discussions with the Town Board and the Recreation Committee, the scope has changed from a modular
building to a Trailer mounted restroom facility. Subsequentto these discussions, the grant application for
the current year was modified to incorporate the trailer mounted restroom facility into the design.
As a result of this change in scope, DOH approval is no longer required as a part of our scope. This
results in a credit to the Town of $4,000. The original scope of work included plans and specifications for
a modular building which is similar in scope to that for a trailer mounted restroom facility which we have
begun developing as discussed above. The original scope of work did not however include the
solicitation of bids for the restroom facility as a separate phase as this was not funded at the time of our
original proposal. We are also recommending that we solicit quotes from the contractor as a
consideration of a change order to install the electrical connection for the trailer.
2012 Grant Application Phase
• DOH Approvals (credit) ($4,000)
2013 Grant Application Phase
Solicitation of Bids & Submittal Review $1,500
Change Order Process $ 500
Total ($2,000)
If an acceptable is not negotiable, solicitation of bids for the electrical connection is anticipated to be
$2,000, which would then make this a no cost change in scope.
