sometime next week.
REPORT FROM MR. FRIEDMAN
Mr. Friedman wanted to follow up on a few of the items that have been
discussed. He asked if anyone had been in touch with Pop Warner regarding them using
the fields at Castle Point. Mrs. Roe said that she wasn't sure if anyone had spoken with
them.
He also asked about the basketball backstops at Martz Field. Mrs. Roe
mentioned that we had put money in the 2005 budget to extend the court. Mr. Friedman
said that he felt that the poles were a safety issue and that they should be roped off. A
discussion took place regarding safety issues and it was felt that we should have a line
item in the budget where we could take care of safety issues immediately. If they can't
be fixed in 24/48 hours they should be roped off or the park should be closed until they
can be taken care of. They would like to invite the Town Board to discuss safety issues
and set up some type of procedure where we would only have to get the Supervisor's
permission to correct safety issues.
