Where the dining room is we would like to add a sliding door and because of that we need the variance. To add the door we need to expand the deck. Town of Wappinger Zoning Board of Appeals Page 6 Minutes of September 27,2005 ,-". Present: Larry Paggi Lee Bums - Engineer - Manager of Toyota Mr. Fanuele: Are these two separate pieces of property? Mr. Paggi: It will be one piece when we are done. Tonight we have for you our rendering of what we are proposing. Weare working on the landscaping plan right now with the planning board. There is quite a shoulder here in front with a split rail fence and we will be planting oaks and maples and we will be adding landscaping through out the parking and the project. We have been told that the building looks commercial but that is what Toyota requires. At this time Larry went up to the board to describe the site in detail. The one overhead door in the front is how this site functions. The cars pull up, enter, are worked on and then brought out to wait for customer pick-up. The appointments are staggered every 15 minutes or so to avoid a build up. Mr. DellaCorte: Why can't the door be located in the rear and exit through the side? Mr. Bums: We are trying to reduce liability and have the customers drive as little as possible. ........ Mr. Fanuele: How much space is there between the sidewalk and that door? Mr. Paggi: About three car lengths. If at any time more than three cars are there the additional cars would park. There would be someone out there to coordinate for the customers. Mr. Fanuele: We don't want cars sitting on the sidewalk or in the road. Mr. Bums: We realize that. Mr. Fanuele: We will schedule your public hearing for October 12,2005. Mr. Prager: When do you propose this to be ready? Mr. Bums: Weare hoping for next summer. Mr. Paggi: Thank you. .........
