1968-02-13The regular meeting of the Town of Wappinger Zoning Board
of Appeals was called to order on Tuesday, February 13, 1968, at
low 8:25 p.m., in the Office of the Building Inspector, Town Hall,
Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York.

PUBLIC HEARING - Appeal ## 7, at the request of Dana &
Frances Townsend, for variances of the sideyard regulations to
permit the construction of a residence to replace an existing
trailer on their property located on the north side of Osborne
Hill Road, Town of Wappinger.
Mr. Townsend was present for the appeal and reviewed the
plans with the Board. It was noted that the existing garage,
which is attached to the trailer, contains three finished rooms.
It is planned to remove the trailer and convert the garage to
its proper use, with the construction of the proposed residence.
Mr. Ludewig stated that Mr. O'Connor, an abutting property
owner, had come in to his office and told him that he has no
objections to the proposal if the existing trailer is removed.
There were no others present to speak for or against the
appeal. The Chair declared the hearing closed.
In reference to Appeal # 72,
A motion was made by Mr. Koehler, seconded by Mr. Hirt,
to grant sideyard variances of 10 ft. on the southerly side
and 7 ft. on the northerly side of property of Dana & Frances
Townsend, located on the north side of Osborne Hill Road, Town
of Wappinger, permitting the construction of a residence to
replace an existing trailer on said property, subject to the
removal of said trailer upon completion of the residence.
Motion Unanimously Carried
The members had each received copies of the minutes of the
regular meetings of November 14, 1967, and December 12, 1967.
A motion was made by Mr. Koehler, seconded by Mr. Hirt,
to approve the minutes of the November 14, 1967, and December 12,
1967, meetings, as written. Motion Unanimously Carried
,%W The Board received, from the Town Planning Board, a copy

Zoning Board of Appeals -2- February 13, 1968
of the Route 9 Rezoning Proposal and a copy of the Planning
Board's letter to the Town Board. Said proposal and letter
were reviewed by the Board members and are on file with the
Zoning Board's records.
A motion was made by Mr. Hirt, seconded by Mr. Koehler, to
adjourn the meeting. Motion Unanimously Carried
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
