1967-08-08The regular meeting of the Town of Wappinger Zoning Board of
Appeals was called to order on Tuesday, August 8, 1967, at 8:15 p.m.,
at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York.

The Secretary read the minutes of the regular meeting of
June 14, 1967.
A motion was made by Gordon Hirt, seconded by James Mills, to
approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 14, 1967, as
read. Motion Unanimously Carried
Public Hearing - Appeal ## 57, at the request of Mrs. Frances
Greggo, to permit the construction of an addition to her residence
✓ situated on a privately -owned right of way which is located on
the southwesterly side of Stonykill Road, in the Town of Wappinger.
Mr. Koehler, Acting Chairman, read the notice of public
hearing.
Mr. Ludewig presented the Board with a map of Mrs. Greggo's
property. He pointed out that the only access to the property is
by right of way owned by Posa. He noted that Section 280a of the
Town Law states that a building permit may not be issued unless
there is ,25 ft. frontage on a public highway.
Mrs. Rose Crawford, the Appellant's sister, came before the
Board and noted that the purpose of the addition is to provide
living quarters for her. She stated that, due to fainting spells,
she cannot live alone any longer.
The Chairman asked if anyone else was present to speak in
favor of the appeal.
Mr. Stephen Sramek, abutting property owner, was present and
stated that he has no objections to the granting of the requested
variance.
No one was present to speak against the appeal. The Chair
declared the hearing closed.
A motion was made by James Mills, seconded by Gordon Hirt, to
rr grant Appeal ## 57 to Mrs. Frances Greggo, permitting the construction
of an addition to her residence situated on a privately -owned right
of way located on Stonykill Road, in the Town of Wappinger.

Cameli Drive, for a variance of the rear yard setback requirements
to permit the construction of a residence addition within 6 ft. of
the property line, being a variance of Section 422.6 of the Town of
Wappinger Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Duane was present for his appeal and came before the Board.
A letter had been received from Mr. and Mrs.
