Pike, Secretary A motion was made by Robert L#Archovesque, seceded by Frederick Koehler, to waive the 48-hour notice to the members. Mation Unanimously Carried A motion me rade by Thomas Graham seconded by Richard Jacobson, to approve the minutes of the December 14, 1965 eluting as written. Motion Unanimousiy Carried Appeal # 42 . on the appiication of Mrs. Katherine Knapp for a variance to permit construction of a pre -built home on a privately owned right. of -way known as Plaza Road. The Board reviewed the evidence presented at the hearing and referred to the minutes of the hearing so that Mr. Koffsky and Mr. Jacobson who wars not present at the previous mating became fully acquainted with the appeal. Mrs Vandowinckal pointed out that the dwellings that we presently an Plan Read are considered to be suawer cottagoso it was stated that Mrs6 Knapp has owned the property since 1939. A action was made by Frederick Koehler, seconded by Richard Jacobson, that the request of Mrs. Knapp for the variance on Appeal # 42 be denied an the basis that the appellant does not own property adjoining an approved Town Road, and that adequate hardship had not been shown. In response to this motion, it was suggested that the motion be amended to reads 'That the request of Mrs. Knapp for the variance an Appeal # 42 be denied on the basis that requisite hardship has not been shown, and that the lack of frattago an on approved Town read which road is not subject to any Tom maintenance, plowing, services, etc., does not provide the necessary safeguards for a residence an the property in question. Mr. Koehler wee in agreement to apd the motion. Mr. Jacobson also meed to the amendment, Voting fort Thaws Rrahaa, Richard Jacobson, Frederick Koehler. Voting againsts Robert L'Arehevesque. Notion Carried A motion was spade by Richard Jacobson, seconded by Frederick Koehler, that the Chairman of the Board, mr. David N. Koffsky, appear before the Town Board and got their opinions an appeal # 42. Motion Unanimously Carried n Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes -2- December 21, 1965 Appeal # 43 - on the app 1 i cati on of Mrs. Arnold McNeil for an interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance in reference to the definition of "customary home occupation*" The Board reviewed the brief presented to them at the public hearing by the appellant's lawyer, We Maroulis. They also reviewed the other evidence presented at the hearing and referred to the minutes so that We Koffsky and We Jacobson, who were not present at the previous meeting, became fully acquainted with the appeal, A motion was made by Richard Jacobson, seconded by Frederick Koehler, to adopt the following resolutions In reference to Appeal N 43, it is the opinion of the Town of. Wappinger Zoning Board of Appeals that "Occasional Hairdresshng" doss constitute operating a beauty parlor, and, therefore, falls under Article Ii, Section 220, 'Moms Occupation, Customary," Motion Unanimously Carried A motion was made by Thomas Graham, seconded by Robert L$Archevesque, to adjourn the meeting at 9 s 50 P.
