was called to order June 8, 1965 at 8sO0 P.M. at the Town Hail, Mi 11
Street, Wappingers Falls, New York.

The minutes of the May 11, 1965 meting were read. A motion was
made by Thomas Graham, seconded by Richard L'Archevesque, to accept the
minutes as read. Motion Passed Unanimousiy
Appeal # 32 - James Marshall, Foot Hill Road, requesting a variance
from S00 to 400 on a corner lot.
Mr. Marshall was present for his appeal, citing need for an addition
to his residence= porch on front and additional roam an side. Marshall
feels there is no other sensibie approach to enlarging. Since this is
a corner let, the addition would extend past the side yard requirements.
Abutting owners had boon notified. None were present but had
indicated to Marshalls they had no objections&
There were no others to spook for or against.
Hearing dosed.
Discussion by the Board followed. Question areae as to what
constitutes a corner tot. The Board foots legal council would be needed
In defining it.
Appeal N 33 - Edward Somers, Osborne Hill Road, requesting the
replacement of a trailer on his property with a pre -built home.
Mrs. Som s was present for the appeal. Property is in an R•40
area, and would conform to all regulations. There are now 2 trailers
an that property. She feels that replacing her trailer with this
pre -built house wouid make the property less non -conforming (and
eventually the second trailer will be removed aitogether),
We Ron Bogert* salesman for Bedroll, Inc. dealers in pro -built
homes, was present also. He had slides of various models of those
houses, and bulletins from F H A (F.H.A. approved). He stated that
house can be placed an pawed slab, footings, or foundation; arrives
on doily in 2 sections; is completed in factory, except for the final
roof tie-in (21 x 40 bridge brace becomes a truss roof upon tying -in)
and permanent placement on foundation. Building would meet with Town
of Weppinger Building Code, except for possibiy the plumbing. (Company
is prepared to run according to New York State Building Code.)
We Bogert stated the Metteawan First National Bank had a 15 yre
mortgage an a pro -built home in Salt Point.

Mr. A. Stevens, Staneykili Road, and Mr. Sawyer of East Park
Mobite Moses, were present to speak for the appeal, Mr. Sawyer
stated he had sold 2 of these pre -built hangs in Hopewell Junction,
and added that Rhinebeck Savings Bank approved a 15 yr. mortgage.
All abutting owners had been notified, none were present but
had indicated to the Somers, they had no objections,
There were no others present for or against.
The Board directed that if Mrs. Sams receives approval from
the bank for a mortgage, the Bank should send a tetter of amount of
loan and length of time ailowed for mortga$ to the Zoning Board.
Hearing Closed.
The secretary was instructed to send ofor R.H.A. Specifications
Bul isting d S E 380 and # S E 384, Also, to Contact Mr. Ed Brusgui,
East Fishkil1 Zoning Administrator for his interpretation of pre -built
haemes.
Appeal N 32 brought up for discussion, upon reading corner lot
definition, the Board reasoned that this was not a corner lot, as the
two adjacent sides abut an the some strait, and do not abut on any
public place.
A motion was made by Thames Graham, and seconded by Robert
"' L+Archovesqus, to reverse the decision of the Building Inspector, as the
Board's interpretation is this is not a corner tot - Article II, Section
220 of the Town of Wappinger Zoning Ordinance.
Motion Carried
Board discussion an Appeal M 33.
A nation was made by Robert LeArchavesque, and seconded by Thomas
Graham, to refer defining of Mobile Homes to the Town Board for revision
and/or clarification, with respect to category of Factory Built Hanes as
Mobile Hoses, Upon votes Robert LeArchovesque, Richard Jacobson,
Thanes Graham - for, David Koffsky, not voting, but registered against.
Motion Carried
Mr. L'Archevesque will draft contents of letter to Town Board to
clarify notion.
Motion to postpone Appeal M 33a pending receipt of evidence by the
Board was made by Robert L'Archevesque, amended by Richard Jacobson,
and passed unanimously.
Motion to adjourn meeting made by Robert L'Archevesque, seconded by
Thanes Graham, and pissed unanimously, Meeting adjourned at 9s55 P,M,
