1964-05-12i The regular meeting of the Town of Wappingger Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order on May 120 1964. Members presents Kvrmit Becker Thomas Graham David Koffsky Robert L"Archevesque John Zwynenberg Minutes of April meeting were not read due to absence of secretary because of death in the family. Appeal #18 - Mr. Hanzi, who was represented by an attorner, Mr. Brenner, who requested a variance under Sect. 422 of the Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Brenner presented a surveyors map showing property lines and also mentioned that Pyr. Hanzi was agreeable to providing an evergreen screening on the short property side. Mr. L'Archevesque pointed out that Mr. Hanzi's building permit, 64-310 dated 3-25-64 approved a 60' housewthat Mr. Hanzi has now build a 6818" house. The status of the project is that the foundation measuring 4818" is now in but the garage measuring 4818" was not yet in. No witnesses appeared in behalf of Mr. Hanzi. Mr. & Mrs. Olson, neighbors of Mr. Hanzi's project appeared to speak against the variance. Mr. & Mrs. Olson mentioned that they had questioned Hanzi's surveyors measurements and therefore called Mr. Ludewig. In addition, they had their property surveyed which proved that Mr. Hanzi was in error concerning his sideyard lines. The Olsone questioned the location of the septic system in relation to their property. There appeared to be no problem. The Olsons were agreeable to a variance if appropriate screening was provided by Mr. Hanzi. Appeal .#19, Pelbar Realty. Mr. E. Schwarzbart, owner of the property,purchased the land in September 1959 in the name of Edbart builders. A foreclosure followed and Schwarzbart then purchased property in name of Pelbar Realty in Feb -Mar. 1963. Mr. Schwarzbart mentioned that he would provide proof of ownership. No one spoke in behalf of Mr. Schwarzbart. Mr. Clarkson, who lives adjacent to the subject questioned how close the prospective home would be to his property line. Mr. Clarkson did not object to the variance. Mr. DIMarco, who lives adjacent to Clarkson, commented that many of the present homes did not conform to the lot requirements. He did not object to the variance. The meeting was recessed for action on Appeals ,#18 and #19. Ret No 18. - Mr. L'Archevesque made a motion that we write Mr. Hanzi specifying the type of "soreen" to be placed on the ''fir. short -side pvvperty line. Mr. & Mrs. Olson are to be notified. Upon agreement we would further consider the appeal. Motion seconded by Mr. Koffsky. All members voted in favor of motion. Mr. Koffsky seconded the motion. All members voted in favor of motion. Mr. Graham made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconds d by Mr. larchevesque.
