1963-02-11The regular meeting of the Town of Wapppinger Zoning Board of Appeals
was called to order on February 11, 19t53, at T:30 p.m, at the Town
Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, W.Y.

A discussion was held on Black Watch Fara, raising the question of
whether this can be classed as a farm or an estate.
The minutes of the previous meeting (January 21, 1964) and a notion
to aooept as road was wade by Mr. Graham and seconded by Mr. L'Archevesque
Motion passed unanimously.
Appeal #14 • Black Watch Farm. A letter was read from them. Hugh J.
Maurer and two employees of Black Watch Fara were present. A
discussion was hold on the location of the main house which is in
Bast Fishkill. This far* was originally more than one farm but now
it is all one.
The house that they wish to erect would be used strictly for
non-paying employees. There are five families living on the farm at
present.
Mr. Nunsiato Bi.Pslrata, who lives nest door on Robinson Lane, was
present and sees no reason for not allowing them to *root this
building.
Mr. John Soklund stated the fact that sometime in the future, they
might break up the farm and then the building could be used as an
apartment house for commercial purposes.
Hearing closed.
The secretary was instructed to write to Assemblyman R, Watson Pomeroy
in Albany to ask for a copy of the Now York State Agricultural Act
and any additional information whiob will help us clarify the
inoonsistancies between zoning and farming.
Mrs. Arthur Bloom was present with an appeal. This will be given
to Mr. Ludewig, the Zoning Inspeotor.
Action on Black Watch Farm was tabled for the further gathering of
information.
Mr. Booker, who owns property near Stone ko, asked about the change
in zoning. He was referred to the Planning Board.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Zwynonburg and seconded by
Mr. Graham. Motion passed unanisousli and sooting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
