qualifications to perform the work are stated within this bid package.

Silkworth Engineering was founded on May 5, 2009 to provide quality engineering services in Dutchess County
and the surrounding areas of the Hudson Valley. Ultimately, the goal for Silkworth Engineering is to provide high
quality engineering services, while continuing to be cost effective and meet the established timelines for
completion. Silkworth Engineering is very familiar with policies and procedures of the Town of Wappinger
pertaining to the study and review of land development projects.
Wade Silkworth continually remains up to date with new technology and construction techniques in order to
serve clients in a most efficient and resourceful manner. Wade Silkworth has lived in Dutchess County for his
entire life and has 8 years of local experience in the civil engineering field. Wade Silkworth owns and operates
Silkworth Engineering as a sole proprietor with no employees.
Skills and Qualifications
Wade Silkworth attended the University at Buffalo to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
and later acquired his Professional Engineer License in New York State. He has worked on many projects for a
wide range of residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
Some recent completed projects include the site plan preparation for the new building for the Hughsonville Fire
District; engineering consultation services for the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority which
included pump test data analysis and reporting and onsite inspection services at the Shore Haven Water Facility;
engineering design work and permit approvals for drainage and guiderail improvements along Rte 199 in Pine
Plains; and the site engineering for the Coffin subdivision in the Town of Union Vale which included new wetland
and stream crossings.
The types of projects which Silkworth Engineering currently has in progress include subdivisions, sewage
disposal systems, driveway plans, home additions and erosion and sediment control plans. Within Dutchess
County, Silkworth Engineering is currently representing clients in the Towns of Poughkeepsie, LaGrange, East
Fishkill, Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley, Union Vale, and Stanford.
Wade Silkworth has extensive training in various aspects of the civil engineering field. This includes training in
storm water management, storm water quality treatment, erosion and sediment control, and geothermal
heating solutions. In the fall of 2010, Wade completed the training and exam to acquire his certification from
IGSHPA as a certified Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer.

Indeaendence and licensure
Independence
The Engineer does not have any previous or ongoing professional relationships with the Town of Wappinger. As
such, there exist no conflicts relative to providing the proposed services.
Licensure
Wade Silkworth, PE is properly licensed to perform professional engineering services in the State of New York.

Rate Schedule Attachment
The following rate schedule is effective from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 for the Town of
Wappinger Planning. The hourly rate quoted is inclusive of all customary overhead expenses (clerical,
administrative, telephone and postage).
The hourly rate for meetings and site visits will be charged portal-to-portal, beginning at the office of
Silkworth Engineering in Poughkeepsie, NY.
