Since the retirement of the 4`" Administrative Assistant in January 2005, Rachel Vitale was hired
by Supervisor Ruggiero for part time help. She has been a great asset to this office assisting with
the additional work load given to the remaining three Administrative Assistants. This is a low
cost solution and assists this office in many ways without a significant cost impact to the budget.
Miss Rachel E. Vitale, at the age of 14, was employed by the Town of Wappinger and working in
the Code Enforcement Department since June 20, 2005. She is a full time student at Roy C
Ketcham High School, and works during the school year, and during the summer break.
She was hire to assist this department with administrative work. She continues to work on the
conversion of the file folders (changing old top file folders to side tab file folder with new labels,
relocating folders to make room in over crowded cabinets do to the increase of additional homes),

stocked, updates the department Code Books, copying for FOIL requests, hands out applications,
assists the Zoning Department with the folds zoning maps for sale, sorts paperwork for the Fire
Inspector, she has assisted with the residents as to what they need, and appropriate application be
given out, copies and mails out signed C/O and C/C to residents, hands out signed Building
Permits, files complete complaint forms, distributes in coming mail, faxes, send faxes, she has
assisted in the routing of plans, and the scheduling of inspections, she is familiar with the SCA

closed permits were on a property. Rachel also assisted the Town Clerk & Dog Control Officer
