Resolution Authorizing Agreement for the Expenditure of Highway Funds
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February
12`', 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger wishes to enter into an
agreement for the expenditure of Highway Funds, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board agrees that the monies levied and collected in the Town
for repair and improvement of highways, and received from the State for State Aid for the repair
and improvement of Highways shall be expended as follows:
1) General Repairs: the sum of $183,500 shall be set aside to be expended for primary
work and general repairs upon 95.48 miles of town highway, including sluices,
culverts and bridges having a span of less than five feet and boardwalks of the
renewals thereof.
2) Permanent Improvements: On the road commencing at All Angels Hill Road and
leading to Dorothy Lane a distance of 1.25 miles, there shall be not over the sum of
$100,000 type of blacktop with a width of traveled surface of 22 feet and a thickness
of 2 inches.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes that
the monies levied and collected in the Town for repair and improvement of highways, and
received from the State for State Aid for the repair and improvement of Highways shall be
expended as follows:

Attached is my proposed agreement to spend Highway Funds for calendar year 2007.
Once the agreement is board approved, I will submit our agreement to the County
Superintendent for his approval.

i AGREEMENT between the Town Superintendent of the Town of Wappinge r TOWN CLERIC
Dutchess County, New York, and the undersigned members of the Town Board.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 284 of the Highway Law, we agree that moneys levied and
collected in the Town for the repair and improvement of highways, and received from the State for
State Aid for the repair and improvement of Highways, shall be expended as follows:
1. GENERAL REPAIRS. The sum of $_ 183.500 shall be set aside to be expended for primary
work and general repairs upon _95.48 miles of town highway, including sluices, culverts and
bridges having a span of less than five feet and boardwalks or the renewals thereof.
