Resolution Naming Recreation Drive
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on June 25,
2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor
Councilmembers

Joseph P. Paoloni
Maureen McCarthy
Vincent F. Bettina
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Paoloni.
WHEREAS, there exists a road in the Town of Wappinger without a name, and
WHEREAS, the road is off of Robinson Lane and goes into the Town of Wappinger
Recreation Park, and
WHEREAS, it is important to name this road in order to assist emergency personnel with
location, and
WHEREAS, Graham Foster, Town of Wappinger Highway Superintendent, has suggested
the road be named "Recreation Drive", and
WHEREAS, Ralph Holt, Chairman of the Recreation Commission, has agreed that
naming this road would be helpful to the Town, and
WHEREAS, Jim Tompkins, Program Assistant for Dutchess County Emergency
Response, has determined that there are no immediate conflicts with the name "Recreation Drive."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board authorizes formally naming
the Robinson Lane Recreation Park main entrance road Recreation Drive.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
