BEALE VINCENT BETTINA MAUREEN McCARTHY JOSEPH P. PAOLONI I would like to request authorization to send Inez Maldonado, Charles Reinhardt and Debra Brown to the "Introduction to Governmental Accounting" school offered by the New York State Comptroller's Office. At the training school we attended last month, Angie Paustian won a raffle from the state of a certificate to attend this class for free. The school is a 2 1/2 day program that teaches basic governmental accounting concepts and bookkeeping procedures. It is going to be held in Kingston, New York this October 23r6 through 25"' and costs $80.00 each for governmental employees. This class is an intense, low-cost, springboard to all the functions in our Comptroller's office, to be followed up with the "Advanced Accounting School" hopefully next spring. The total cost will be $240.00. I believe this training will benefit all of the financial employees to have a greater understanding of how their function impacts the rest of the department. I have attached the course content for your review.
