Resolution Authorizing Linda Walters to Attend New York State Association Magistrate's
Court Clerks Training Seminar
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August
27th, 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by
Councilwoman McCarthy.
WHEREAS, Heather Kitchen and Carl Wolfson, Town Justices, have requested
authorization to send Linda Walters to the New York State Association Magistrate's Court
Clerks Training Seminar, and
WHEREAS, the class takes place September 30th through October 3'd, 2007, in
Tarrytown and costs Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($250.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Heather Kitchen and Carl Wolfson, Town
Justices, have authorization to send Linda Walters to the New York State Association
Magistrate's Court Clerks Training Seminar held in Tarrytown that takes place September 30th
through October 3d, 2007 with the total cost not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and
00/100 ($250.00).
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Dear Supervisor Ruggiero and Members of the Town Board:
We are requesting approval for our Deputy Court Clerk, Linda Walters, to attend
the above referenced training conference to be held September 30th through October 3`d,
in Tarrytown, New York. (For reference purposes please find attached copy of
registration form.) Deputy Clerk Walters has not attended a conference since 2003. We
feel it would be beneficial for her to attend the fall conference as our Chief Clerk attends
the Association of Towns in February. Allowing the Deputy Clerk and Chief Clerk
attendance at different seminars during the course of the year will better enable the court
to stay informed of all updates and changes.
