Resolution Approving Jared Silverman Salary Adjustment
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August
27th, 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmembers - William H. Beale
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni (arrived at 7:38 PM)
Maureen McCarthy
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, an error was made in the salary of Jared Silverman, who is employed by the
Town of Wappinger as a lifeguard; and
WHEREAS, he was listed as a first year lifeguard being paid Nine Dollars and 00/100
($9.00) an hour when he should have been listed as a second year lifeguard being paid Nine
Dollars and 27/100 ($9.27) an hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. Jared Silverman shall be paid Nine Dollars and 27/100 ($9.27) an hour retroactive
to June 25th, 2007.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

ADDITIONS AND CHANGE TO SUMMER PLAYGROUND
PAYROLL
Due to personnel changes and vacations, the Recreation Department is requesting
approval for the following additions and changes to our payroll schedule.
For the week of 7/23/07 to 7/27/07 both Jackie Smith and Jill Smith will be on a family
vacation. We request that we be allowed to have Kimberly Leone and Clare Curtis, our
former Summer Director and Floating Director, return to work for us for that week only.
Kim Leone's salary would be $24.09 and hour and Clare Curtis's salary would be 21.12.
These were their salaries as of the last time they worked. It is our hope that these salaries
will be approved so that, in the event they return to our employ, we will have a proper
basis for their salaries.
Also, in our initial request to the Town Board, an error was made in the salary of Jared
Silverman. He was listed as a first year lifeguard at $9.00 an hour and instead should
have been listed as a second year lifeguard at $9.27 an hour. We ask for your approval
on this matter as well.
