Resolution Approving Attendance to Inventory and Analysis Seminar for
Wappinger/Hudson River LWRP
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on
November 13th, 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, Jean Gallucci, Comptroller, has requested authorization to send one
representative to the Department of State Inventory and Analysis seminar that is required for the
EPF LWRP Grant, and
WHEREAS, the class takes place November 14th, 2007, in Yonkers, New York, and
costs Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($250.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Jean Gallucci, Comptroller, is authorized
to send a representative to attend the Department of State Inventory and Analysis seminar held in
Yonkers, New York, and takes place November 14th, 2007, with the total cost not to exceed Two
Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($250.00).
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Re: Planning for Wappinger/Hudson River LWRP (Local Waterfront Revitalization
Program)
I have been contacted by the Department of State with regard to our EPF LWRP Grant
which has an anticipated start date of 10/1/07 and an anticipated end date of 12/31/09.
One of the stipulations of the grant is the attendance of at least one staff person at four (4)
required seminars. The seminars are "Inventory and Analysis -Sessions A & B",
"Developing a Vision", "Organization for Implementation of Vision and Capacity
Building" and "Overview of the LWRP Process". There is an "Inventory and Analysis"
session being held on November 14, 2007 at the Yonkers Public Library from 9:00 am to
4:30 pm. The cost is $125.00 per person/per session. This particular session is
considered two (2) sessions and will therefore cost $250.00. It has been suggested that a
suitable attendee would be a steering committee member or the town planner. Again, the
attendance of one staff person at this training session is a mandatory requirement of being
eligible to receive the grant money.
