RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MARRIAGE OFFICER
FOR THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER
At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 9tliday of January, 2006, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor -

ABSENT:
Joseph Ruggiero
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
Maureen McCarthy
The following Resolution was introduced by Ms. McCarthy and seconded by
Mr. Bettina
BE IT RESOLVED, that Cheryl Hait be and she is appointed as a Marriage
Officer for the Town of Wappinger, pursuant to Article 3 Section 11 c of the Domestic
Relations Law, to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Cheryl Hait shall not receive a salary for
said position, however, she may accept gratuities up to $75.00 per ceremony at which she
officiates.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
