Resolution of Support for the Hudson River. Valley Greenway 2006 Vision In
Planning Award Application
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 3/13/2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmembers - Robert L. Valdati
Joseph P. Paoloni
Maureen McCarthy
ABSENT: Vincent F. Bettina
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati and seconded
by Councilman Paoloni.
WHEREAS, The Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, a designated
Compact Community member of the Hudson River Valley Greenway, will submit an
application for the 2006 Vision in Planning Award for the Wappinger Greenway Trail,
and
WHEREAS, The Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger has requested
authorization from the Town Board to submit and application for the 2006 Vision in
Planning Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Joseph Ruggiero,
Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger is hereby authorized and directed to file an
application for the Hudson River Valley Greenway's 2006 Vision in Planning Award.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor Voting: AYE
Robert L. Valdati, Councilmember Voting: AYE
Vincent F. Bettina, Councihnember Voting: ABSENT
Joseph P. Paoloni, Councilmember Voting: AYE
Maureen McCarthy, Councilmember Voting: AYE
