Resolution Authorizing Town of Wappinger Recreation Commission to Use
Greenway Grant to Purchase Kiosks
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 3/13/2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman McCarthy and
seconded by Councilman Paoloni.
WHEREAS, Joseph Ennesser has requested in his letter dated January 6, 2006 to
spend Ten Thousand Six Hundred Seventy and 00/100 ($10, 670.00) from the C000358
Greenway Grant for the purchase of Kiosks from West Bands Inc., and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The Town Board of Town of
Wappinger Authorizes Joseph Ennesser of the Recreation Commission to spend Ten
Thousand Six Hundred Seventy and 00/100 ($10, 670.00) from C000358 Greenway
Grant for the purchase of Kiosks from West Bands Inc.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Subject: Kiosk Directory for Carnwath Farms

Dear Joe;
I am requesting approval to move on purchasing the
subject unit using funds against the C000358 Greenway
Grant. We have used this grant to procure the main gate,
picnic tables and benches for Carnwarth, and leaves us
with a grant fund balance of approximately $ 10,670. This
balance covers both administrative processing in the amount
of $4670 and trail work for $6000, which I would like to work
with Albany to reapportion the money to allow us to procure
the kisok kit for approximately $8000 from N.Y. State contractor
West Brands Inc. Based on purchasing the kit I would look
for volunteers to install on property in accordance with the
state's installation specifications. Example of this type of kiosk
can be seen at the boat landing located on Creek Road in the
Village of Wappinger. I must note here that this does not include
substrate artwork or word description of Carnwath Farms
History. I have taken the liberty to talk to Frasier Engineering
to see if they can help us with a map and directory from their
initial studies of Carnwath Farms as part of the substrate
artrwork.

your office write a memo to Ms. Holley Sullivan of the Hudson
Valley Greenway office requesting the reapportion of the$10,670
funds leaving $2670 in administration and $$000 for the trails
portion. This will then allow us to procure the kiosk for Carnwath
against the existing grant. I hope you find this request appropriate
at this time. I feel this will add to letting people know what is
located on the property and will add a touch of class. I look
forward to your approval so we can make it happen. Thanks in
