Resolution Appointing Acting Assessor
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 3/13/2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:

Maureen McCarthy
Vincent F. Bettina
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati and seconded
by Councilwoman McCarthy.
WHEREAS, after long and faithful service to the Town of Wappinger, Acting
Assessor, Thomas E. Logan passed away thereby creating a vacancy in the Office of
Assessor in the Town of Wappinger; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has authority to appoint an Acting Assessor
pursuant to Real Property Tax Law §314 in order to fill the vacancy; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the
Town of Wappinger that the Assessor of the neighboring Town of Fishkill, Paula Sarvis,
be appointed such Acting Assessor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.

2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the appointment of Paula Sarvis as Acting
Assessor to the Town of Wappinger for a period of six months pursuant to Real Property
Tax Law §314.
3. The Town Supervisor is further authorized to enter into any necessary
agreement to effectuate the aforestated appointment and notify the State Board within
fifteen (15) days thereof.
