Resolution Authorizing Purchase Order for Recreation Commission for Replacing Third
Base Dugout at Holt Memorial Field
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 8th,
2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee has requested a purchase order for replacing the
third base dugout on Holt Memorial Field, and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Commission received bids as follows:
George Lown Mason $9250.00
Ken Heady Gen. Masonary $9010.00
Donaldson Construction $9850.00
C.J. Masonary $6150.00
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee has requested a purchase order in the amount of
Six Thousand One Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($6,150.00) payable to C.J. Masonary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. A purchase order is hereby authorized in the amount of Six Thousand One
Hundred Fifty dollars and 00/100 ($6,150.00) payable to C.J. Masonary from
Account T33, in accordance with a letter dated April 7, 2006, from Joseph
Ennesser, of the Recreation Commission.

Dear Joe
The recreation commission is requesting approval
to replace the third base dugout on Holt Memorial Field
at Robinson Lane. The commission has incumbent in it's
budget $8690 for the specific purpose to demolish and
rebuild this unit. The estimates received for this work is
as follows:
George Lown Mason -------------$ 9250
Ken Heady Gen. Masonary ------ $ 9010
Donaldson Constr.----------------$ 9850
C.J. Masonary ------------------$ 6150
It is the commissions recommendation to approve
C.J.Masonary for the work as low bidder. The money saved
between the low bid and our incumbent account will allow
us to install a new roof on the dugout, which we have received
a preliminary estimate at this time for $ 2250.. To implement
this job becomes a major factor, now that we are into baseball
season and will have to be scheduled in cooperation with
league schedules. We will insure that the existing dugout
while in use, remains in tact and safe for all occupants
during the season. If it becomes unsafe we will take immediate
action to rectify situation as we see fit.
