Resolution Authorizing Purchase Order for Recreation to Repair Holt Field Dugout at
Robinson Lane
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August
28t`, 2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati and seconded by
Supervisor Ruggiero.
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee has requested a purchase order to repair the Holt
Field Dugout at Robinson Lane, and
WHEREAS, The Town of Wappinger Recreation Commission has requested bids from
Bracadan Construction, Beacon Construction and O'Connell Construction, and
WHERAS, Beacon Construction and O'Connell Construction did not provide a quote,
and Bracadan Construction returned a quote of Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty-five
Dollars ($3,885), and
WHEREAS, The Recreation Commission has requested a purchase order in the amount
of Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($3,885) for Bracadan Construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. A purchase order is hereby authorized in the amount of Three Thousand, Eight Hundred
Eighty-five Dollars ($3,885), payable to Bracadan Construction from Park Land Trust.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Dear Joe;
The recreation commission is requesting approval
for Bracadan Construction to provide the roof for the
third base dugout on Holt field at Robinson Lane.
Bracadan Construction was the only contractor to bid on
this work. There were two other contractors contacted
Beacon Construction and O'Connell Construction and
both never responded to bid on the work.
The commission had incumbent $8690 to implement
this work, $6150 approved for the masonry contractor,
with the remainder $2540 going toward the roofing. However,
follow on bid for the roofing by Bracadan has come in at
$3885 leaving the commission with $1345 deficit, which at
present can be contained within the 2006 recreation budget,
line item account A-7110.422
We look forward to getting approval, in order to finally
complete this project which has been in the making for a
year.
