Resolution Authorizing Attendance at Certified Playground Safety Inspectors Course
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October
23rd, 2006.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Valdati and seconded by
Councilwoman McCarthy.
WHEREAS, Bob Sheridan, Town of Wappinger Maintenance Supervisor, has requested
that he be authorized to attend the Certified Playground Safety Inspectors Course on December
4th, 5th and 6th, in Ardsley, NY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Bob Sheridan, Town of Wappinger
Maintenance Supervisor, is hereby authorized to attend the Certified Playground Safety
Inspectors Course on December 0, 5th and 6th, in Ardsley, NY at cost not to exceed Five
Hundred -Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($550.00).
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Bob Sheridan would like to attend the Certified Playground Safety Inspectors Course in
Ardsley, New York on December 4th, 5th, & 6th
It is a 2 -day course with the third day set aside for the exam. The cost for the two day
course is $450.00 plus $100 for the exam, or in the case of an NYSRPS membership
$410.00. Bob Sheridan would need to be paid for his time spent at class and in travel.
Bob would have to take the test every 3 years for recertification .
In the long run, we will come out ahead in money outlay. Doug Haan has received
almost $1200.00 this year alone.
