2014-0682014-68 Resolution Authorizing Highway Superintendent to Advertise for Bids for Various Highway Supplies and Services At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February 10, 2014. The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor Councilmembers ABSENT: Barbara Gutzler William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Michael Kuzmicz The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by Councilman Bettina WHEREAS, by memo dated January 24, 2014, Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, has requested authorization to go out to bid for various supplies and services to be used by the Town of Wappinger Highway Department in calendar year 2014; and WHEREAS, the bid request shall include such items as road aggregates, oil, gasoline, road signs, catch basins, recycle hauling and other parts and materials used by the Highway Department for the maintenance of Town roads and drainage systems as well as hauling services used at the Town Recycle Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby authorizes Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, to solicit bids for various supplies and services needed by the Town of Wappinger Highway Department for calendar year 2014, as well as those services and supplies needed for the proper operation of the Town's Recycle Center maintained at the Highway Department facilities.
