Resolution Awarding Bid For Emergency Services Building Boiler Replacement Project
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 14,
2014.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Czarniecki and seconded by
Councilman Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, the Emergency Services Building requires the replacement of the boiler
servicing said building; and
WHEREAS, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC has submitted requests
for bids for the boiler replacement in accordance with contract documents prepared by Morris
Associates; and
WHEREAS, bids were received from four different plumbing contractors and Morris
Associates has determined that Freno Plumbing and Heating, Inc. is the lowest responsible
bidder for the boiler replacement project in the amount of $9,285.00, all as set forth in the
attached letter of Morris Associates dated April 8, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby awards the bid for the Emergency Services Building
Boiler Replacement Project to Freno Plumbing and Heating, Inc. with offices at 196 Smithtown
Road, Fishkill, New York 12524, in the amount of $9,285.00.
3. In accordance with the bid specifications, the Town Board hereby authorizes the
Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by Morris Associates Engineering
Consultants, PLLC, including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to
Freno Plumbing and Heating, Inc., after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that Freno
Plumbing and Heating, Inc., has duly executed the contract documents, has supplied the
necessary Performance Bond, Payment Bond and provided insurance certificates all as otherwise
required by the bid specifications.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
