Resolution Awarding Bid For United Wappinger Sewer District Roberts Road Sewer
Improvements
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on Apri121,
2014.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Czarniecki and seconded by
Councilman Bettina.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2012-253 adopted by the Town Board on September 24, 2012,
the Town Board authorized the issuance of $256,000.00 Bonds to pay the cost of the increase and
improvement of the facilities of the United Wappinger Sewer District including the design, construction
and installation of a gravity sewer line and appurtenances to replace the Roberts Road Sewer Pump
Station; and
WHEREAS, bids and specifications were prepared by Robert J. Gray of Morris Associates,
Engineer to the Town, for the work required for the construction and installation of a gravity sewer line
and appurtenances to replace the Roberts Road Sewer Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, bids were duly solicited for the work to be done and the following bids were
received on April 15, 2014:
Contractor Bid
Sun Up Enterprises, Wappingers Falls, NY $171,730.00
WHEREAS, by letter dated April 16, 2014 from Morris Associates Engineering Consultants,
PLLC, Engineers to the Town, have determined that the bid they received from Sun Up Enterprises is
reasonable and recommends that Sun Up Enterprises should be awarded the contract in the amount of
$171,730.00 all as set forth in the aforementioned recommendation letter, a copy of which is affixed
hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the construction and installation of a
gravity sewer line and appurtenances to replace the Roberts Road Sewer Pump Station to
Sun Up Enterprises, Wappingers Falls, NY, in the amount of $171,730.00.
3. In accordance with the authorized bid specifications, the Town Board hereby authorizes
the Supervisor to execute the contract documents as prepared by Morris Associates,
including the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed and forward a copy to Sun Up
Enterprises, after the Attorney to the Town has confirmed that Sun Up Enterprises has
duly executed the contract documents, has supplied the necessary Performance Bond,
Payment Bond and provided insurance certificates all as otherwise required by the bid
specifications.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
