2004-303Y RESOLUTION NO. 2004-303 RESOLUTION CREATING THE POSITION OF JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on the 25th day of October, 2004, at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor - Councilmember- Joseph Ruggiero Robert L. Valdati Vincent F.. Bettina Joseph P. Paoloni Maureen McCarthy The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Bettina and seconded by Ms. McCarthy WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to create the new position of Junior Accountant, and WHEREAS, the position will pay a salary of Grade 6, Step 3 with an annual salary of $30,197, and WHEREAS, the duties of the Junior Accountant will include: • Prepare summary statements of balances, receipts, and payments • Maintain staff control over various accounting methods and procedures to ensure they are within the framework of a manual or automated system • Review the preparation and posting procedures fro services and materials including those involving reimbursements for conformance with established accounting principles. • Prepare and assist in the preparation of schedules and statements • Verify, classify, and code financial transactions for input following accounting practices subject to law and regulations • May maintain personnel records and prepare mandated forms • May supervise the work of subordinate personnel • Related work NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby creates the position of Junior Accountant which will pay a salary of Grade 6, Step 3 with an annual salary of $30,197 with job duties that will include: 3. Review the preparation and posting procedures fro services and materials including those involving reimbursements for conformance with established accounting principles. 6.
