RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR REMOVAL
OF DUGOUT AT ROBINSON LANE
At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 13TH day of December, 2004, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmember- Robert L. Valdati
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
Maureen McCarthy
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Bettina and seconded by
Mr. Valdati
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee has recommended the demolition of a
dug out at Robinson Lane and the rebuilding of a new dug out, and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Commission received bids as follows:
Bracaden Construction $8,690
Donaldson Construction $8,925
Tri Tech Construction $8,845
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee has requested a purchase order in the
amount of Eight Thousand, Six Hundred, Ninety Dollars ($8,690.00) payable to
Bracaden Construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this resolution as if fully
set forth and adopted herein.
2. A purchase order is hereby authorized in the amount of Eight Thousand,
Six Hundred, Ninety Dollars ($8,690.00) payable to Bracaden
Construction from Account A-7110.4, in accordance with a letter dated
December 3, 2004 from Ralph Holt, Chair, Recreation Commission, to the
Town Board.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

The Recreation Committee would like permission to obtain a P.O. payable
to Bracaden Construction in the amount of $8,690.00 to demolish dugout on Memorial
field and rebuild on a new 16"slab.
The quotes received for the work are as follows:
Bracaden Construction
$8,690.00
Donaldson Construction
$8,925.00
Tri Tech Construction
$8,845.00
This is something in our judgment that should be done ASAP. This
dugout might not make it through the winter and there is no question that it has to be
repaired before Little League uses the complex in March. I would like to proceed to tear
it down now and do as much work as possible before freezing weather.
The money would come from A-7110.4
