RESOLUTION NO. 2002-64
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF
TWO ADDITIONAL COMPUTERS FOR SENIOR CENTER
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Colsey and seconded by
Mr. Paoloni
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to continue upgrading the computers at the Senior
Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the payment is approved in an amount
not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) from Account A-7620.4 for the purchase of
two (2) Dell computers for use in the Senior Center, purchased through the New York State
Office of General Services Bid; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment is approved in an amount not to exceed
Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) from Account A-7620.4 for the purchase of Microsoft
software for the above referenced computers in the Senior Center.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

As we continue our computer upgrade, we would like to have approval to acquire
two (2) additional computers. We would look into purchasing these using state bid. In addition
to the basic computer, we would look to purchase software, that would allow our computer
classes to offer the class attendees the ability to send and receive e-mail, pictures, perform basic
budget formats and a host of other advantages. We have discussed this with our Comptroller and
would like the purchase of the computers via state bid. We will also do the same with the
software. The total estimated costs for everything is $4,600.00. We have the costs covered in
our A-7620.4 budget. We request your approval to move forward. We have been receiving
many requests to get this under way.
