2003-140RESOLUTION NO. 2003-140 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CLOSING OF A PORTION OF BROTHERS ROAD FOR A BLOCK PARTY At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on the 27th day of May, 2003, at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero Councilmen - Robert L. Valdati Vincent F. Bettina Joseph P. Paoloni Christopher J. Colsey V1 _1No 9 The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Colsey and seconded by Mr. Paoloni WHEREAS, a request has been made by Jackie Alfano of 93 Brothers Road to close a portion of Brothers Road from its northerly intersection with Gold Road to its intersection with Dose Road for a block party to be held on September 6, 2003, with a raindate of September 7, 2003, between the hours of 11 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, the Town ofWappinger Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, has authorized the closing of Brothers Road from its northerly intersection with Gold Road to its intersection with Dose Road for the block party on September 6, 2003 with a raindate of September 7, 2003 between the hours of 11 a.m. through 8:00 p.m., with the exception of emergency traffic. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the closing of Brothers Road from its northerly intersection with Gold Road to its intersection with Dose Road for the block party on September 6, 2003 with a raindate of September 7, 2003 between the hours of 11 a.m. through 8:00 p.m., with the exception of emergency traffic, pursuant to the request from Jackie Alfano, attached hereto, and the authorization from the Town of Wappinger Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster.
