RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT FOR USE OF
THE DEER HILL CONFERENCE CENTER POOL
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Valdati

and seconded by
WHEREAS, the Recreation Committee of the Town of Wappinger requests
authorization to rent the Deer Hill Conference Center pool from June 27, 2002 to August 8, 2003
for the Town summer swim program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that two (2) payments are approved in the
amount of Four Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars Dollars ($4,750.00) each, made payable
to Deer Hill Conference Center, from Recreation Account No. B-7310.4, for use of the Deer Hill
Conference Center pool facilities from June 27, 2002 to August 8, 2003 for the Town summer
swim program in accordance with the letter from Ralph J. Holt, Chairman of the Recreation
Committee to the Town of Wappinger, to the Town Board Members.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

The Recreation Commission requests permission to obtain P.O.'s totaling
$9,500.00 payable to Deer Hill Center for the use of their pool facilities from June 27,
2003 to August 8, 2003 for our summer swim program. These funds will be payable in
two installments of $4,750.00 due on or before Wednesday, June 18, 2003 and
Wednesday, July 16, 2003.

The following list of particulars is the agreement between the Deer Hill Center,
Wappingers Falls, and the Recreation Department, Town of Wappinger, for 2002 use of
the Deer Hill pool:
1. Approximately 55 youth 7-14 years of age each session.
2. 5 Playground Aides and 2 Lifeguards provided by the Recreation Department.
3. 4 Other adults (to make ratio of youth to adults 5 to 1). If possible adults will be 21
years of age or older.
4. Recreation Department lifeguards will receive briefing from Deer Hill lifeguard prior
to June 30, 2003.
5. Changing rooms and toilets will be available in the Conference House.
6. Recreation Department will put Deer Hill on waiver on their insurance and provide a
copy to Colleen Cannon, Executive Director.
7. Cost of season, June 30 to August 8, 2003, is $9,500.00. This rate reflects our costs
for pool management, including, our on-site lifeguard who will also monitor chlorine
and insure successful operations. Deer Hill will also be responsible for pool chlorine
testing and handle any problems should they arise during your use.
8. Time of use is 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Monday through Friday.
9. Rain days will be scheduled as needed and agreed by Deer Hill and the Recreation
Department.
10. Individual playground supervisors will be responsible that picnic and pool area will
be left free of litter and debris upon departure.
11. Payment will be made in two sums of $4,750. The first payment is due on or before
Wed. June 18, 2003, the second payment is due on or before Wed. July 16, 2003.
12. Failure to receive payment by above dates will close pool until payment is received.
