RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CORRECTED SUMMER CAMP SALARIES
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 7`h day of July, 2003, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor -

Vincent F. Bettina
Christopher J. Colsey
Joseph Paoloni
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Bettina and seconded
by Mr. Colsey
WHEREAS, the Town Board adopted Resolution #2003-162 authorizing salaries
for summer camp directors, counselors and swim personnel on June 6, 2003; and
WHEREAS, certain errors were included in the previously adopted salaries for
camp councilors; and
WHEREAS, Ralph Holt, Chairman of the Town of Wappinger Recreation
Commission has submitted a corrected salary scale for 2003 camp councilors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if
fully set forth and adopted herein.
2. The salaries for Summer Camp Councilors for 2003 are hereby adopted as
follows:

All those with First Aid/CPR will receive an additional $.10 per hour.

Our 2002 salary plan for summer camp counselors was constructed based on a
yearly salary set for each level of summer camp participation. To arrive at an hourly rate, this
total was simply the hours divided into the total dollars to be paid.
In 2003 the hours worked and the amount to be paid were established using a
different criteria. This caused a change in some of the hourly pay scheduled for counselors.
Our submission which was acted on at the June 9, 2003 Town Board meeting did
not fix the problem for the counselors only. The schedule below is how we propose to fix the
problem. We still feel our budget for these salaries is sufficient and we expect no over run.
