2014-289 2014-289 Resolution Authorizing Relevy Of Unpaid Water Fees And Sewer Rents From 2014 At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 24, 2014. WHEREAS, the collection of rates, charges, fees or rents for the various water districts and sewer districts in the Town of Wappinger for 2014 has ceased; and WHEREAS, certain rates, charges, fees and/or rents remain unpaid (hereinafter"unpaid charges"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law §198(1)(k) and §198(3)(d)the Water and Sewer Clerk has provided to the Town Clerk and the Town Board a statement of the unpaid charges, which contains a brief description of the property against which such charges were imposed, the names of the persons liable to pay for the same and the amount chargeable to each; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law §198(1)(k) and §198(3)(d)the unpaid charges may be submitted to the County Legislature for re-levy upon the 2014 tax bills for the properties that are chargeable for the unpaid charges; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board hereby directs the Town Supervisor to include the statement of the unpaid water and sewer charges for the special districts of the Town of Wappinger in the 2015 Tax Levy for the Town of Wappinger in accordance with the provisions of Town Law §198(1)(k) and §198(3)(d) and submit the tax levy to the Dutchess County Legislature for inclusion on the 2015 tax bills.
